Welcome to the latest installment of our Bag of Tricks! On some days you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.
The Quartermaster’s Enchantment has developed into a stable companion for adventurer’s ever since its introduction. Although it got initially nerfed (twice!), it’s still one of the better Utility Enchantments to slot. Part of the reason is the flexibility. Depending on what you need, it’s great for Refining Points or Guild Marks. If you’re solely after the RPs, the decision how to deal with the bags that drop form the Enchantment is pretty simple. You get to a combined slotted percentage of 11% (if possible), wait for a Double Enchantment, and open.
If you’re aiming for max profit, it’s not so easy. In this case you’re looking for the most Guild Marks you can get and both the bags themselves as well as the Enchantments and Runestones they drop can generate those. So do you open the bags or donate directly?
Our data actually shows that opening Spoils of War does not generate more Guild Marks. Even at the highest reward tier it’ll only net you 62 Guild Marks on average vs. 70 Guild Marks of donating them directly. On the contrary, lower bags like Abandoned Gear should be opened in any case. They drop the same amount of Enchantment and Runestones, but grant significantly less Guild Marks when donated directly. Even if you’re not able to hit the highest reward tier at 11% it should still make sense.
So if you’re looking for max profit and Guild Marks, donate Spoils of War directly and open everything else on a Double Enchantment event.
