Some Debuffs Like Ambush Drake Scale With Stats… Because Why Not?

Here’s something for the cabinet of curiosities: Open your collection ingame and browse to the Token of Chromatic Storm. Read the tooltip of the elemental effects, strip all your gear and read the tooltip again. You will notice that the values have changed. It’s because the effects of the Artifact scale with a character’s stats.

Ambush Drake, Token and Dragon Cultist

This phenomenon has been described and documented by Sharpedge in his “Almost Everything CW Guide“. In the buff section he lists three debuffs that scale with stats. The Token scales off the character’s stats, the Ambush Drake and Repentant Dragon Cultist off the companion’s stats. Players can effectively get way better debuffs than intended using these items. The Token and Ambush Drake might be out of reach for most, but the Cultist can be grinded in the Well of Dragons and could suddenly become a very valid option for some.

It’s admittedly not as much of a severe gameplay issue, but don’t be surprised to find these items in high end groups that like to max efficiency just for the sake of it.

Trying the T.frost enchant the other day 17% efictivness increase at 41k power, now if this is resistance decrease it will be double mitigated and not be so game breaking, but still….and the token of chromatic storm is droping in the next lockbox and if it follows the same padron as the previous lockboxes it will drop with the same rate as all other artifacts, we had eye of lathander seling by 101k even if lots of people want the token it wont pass the 500k by the end of module 10.5.
