Glitch Allows to See the Random Queue Dungeon You Will Get
During the last days a new glitch gained traction in the game that allows players to see what dungeon they’ll get when queuing up for the random queue. You might have witnessed an increased amount of lfg requests for the “Advanced Queue” or “Expert Queue” that also list a specific dungeon (most likely EDEMO and TONG). That’s because players figured out that the drawn dungeon hides in plain sight, kind of. But hey, you’re not getting details from us because we don’t want people to get all butthurt again. The cats out the bag anyway since both bigger Neverwinter Subs opened threads on the issue.
The fact that even the official sub allows talk about the topic might indicate that this is not seen as a severe issue. But who knows. PWE could very well send out a message to a limited amount of players in three months that they are aware of an exploit regarding the queue system and will ban for it. Anyway, this type of issue with the random queue isn’t new. For a limited time, players could already guess what dungeon they would get because the game would show the number of total players in the queue. So ten players meant you were getting a trial for example. That got patched, but the current issue brings peeking at random queue results back! This time it’s even the dungeon itself, not just the amount of players. So far this is only confirmed for PC by the way.
Random Queue System Still Has Flaws
In a more general sense this indicates that the random queue system still has some flaws. Although the Ravenloft rework did help a little bit, the fundamental issue is still intact. Since it’s one of the major sources of Rough Astral Diamonds and hence farm content, players are looking for the fastest completion. And the content inside the different queues is still not equally hard or equally fast to complete. That’s why players like to shortcut by doing what they feel is the most convenient way of getting a through the grind.

This has been know for quite a long time. I thought you didn’t say anything on purpose.
But now it will be fixed, because anyone knows it and people could get even banned for this.
Expert queues gonna be impossible to do again because of that.
Yes, this has been known about for many months and I think it was mentioned in some patch that it had been fixed.
Neither I nor anyone on my friends list in-game know how to do it, but when queueing solo I have noticed that RAQs sometimes get rapidly cancelled multiple times due to player declines, and then I get Demogorgan, or Epic Demogorgan. I don’t queue for REQs. Not sure if this is what’s happening.
I quite like doing FBI – the real pain of that is the number who abandon instantly on zoning in to the FBI map, and those who give up after a few deaths going up the hill.
🙂
Noticed the same.
Even without this article pointing it out, it’s obvious the system is being gamed. You get a match, it looks like there are enough people to start, then magically you get the notice that people declined.
How to get the remaining playerbase banned lmao
It’s not an exploit or a glitch. It’s been there from the beginning of RQs and it’s just not popular cause you have to open the normal categories to see it, which most rqers don’t do normally.
Since the IL is all messed up on RQs anyway and players don’t want to leave those zones they aren’t ready for it makes sense to know what you’re randomly slotted for.
Best thing to do is give a penalty of 5 to 15 min on declining a RQ rather than hiding them.
Btw CN shouldn’t be in RIQ and FBI and MSP IL req are too low to get fresh RAQ players to compete. Whole IL thing is whacky on RQs.
meh, easy workaround, queue get something you don’t like, abandon, take penalty, do dailys, queue again in 30 minutes. Although RAQ is usually not an issue, doing REQ other than TONG is pretty much a waste of time. Friend did REQ CR yesterday and took him 1.5 hours (pug queue). I’ve attempted REQ cradle queueing with a 5 man premade. It got ruined because one pug gwf kept getting the cube and killing it in middle. The challenge with REQ is if you don’t have the meta you need to understand mechanics (and in some cases you need the mechanics either way). Unlike MSP where the mechanics are taught to you by the zones lairs and to a lesser degree tong where you learn some mechanics in HOC, there are no training lairs for Cradle and CR.
The sisters hunt at least shows how the chain mechanic in CR works.
