Guide to Masterwork Professions IV Supplying

[blog_subscription_form]Neverwinter’s Lost City of Omu introduced a whole new tier of Masterwork recipes for the endgame community. For most the system and its products are well out of reach as you need to invest tens of millions of ADs to unlock the latest Masterwork IV and Masterwork V tiers. But even if you have no chance getting there yourself, you can still profit from the update in supplying what others need. So let’s quickly go over the required resources and what opportunities might arise.

Masterwork III Products

To unlock the Masterwork IV Recipes, Mastercrafters have to provide the Master of the Market in Port Nyanzaru with three Masterwork III products of the corresponding profession. Obviously if you have MW III unlocked yourself, you can just craft and sell them. The items that are required to unlock MW IV should be in demand and here’s the full list:

Unfortunately it’s hard to give a clear advise what items to craft. All of these have fluctuating profit margins, which differ based on your platform and the current prices. At the time of this writing, the Tailoring Robes and Mailsmithing Scales are your best options, but that can change daily. The safest pick might be Jewelcrafting Amulets. Those usually sell well and additionally are the cheapest to produce. So even if you can’t get rid of them, your loss isn’t as bad as with some of the other items.

Farming Hati

Did you know that Uncensored runs the biggest Discord of Neverwinter? Come join our team, streamers and hundreds of players to talk the site and all facets of the game!

Even if you don’t want to or can’t directly craft the required items above, you can still benefit by going even further down the supply chain. First of all, the Hati farm in Fangbreaker Island is still very much alive. Manticore Manes and Manticore Hides top the list of most expensive required resources for MW III items. So it might make sense to go slay some Ice Giants and farm the first boss in FBI. I wouldn’t do a 2/3 by the way. Dragon Turtle Scales are also needed, but so cheap that it doesn’t make too much sense going for them. You can also still try your luck for Fartouched Residuum in the Spellplague Caverns, but I would doubt it’s as profitable as the Manticore stuff.

In case you’re somehow not in a guild, this by the way is the only way for you to contribute anything to the Masterwork market.

Old Explorer’s Cases

The dungeon drops are not the only necessary resources for MW III. You can also spend some Guild Marks in your Stronghold on the older Explorer Cases and farm nodes. Here’s a list of the stuff that’s required the most:

This especially makes Explorer’s Case: Cold Run and Explorer’s Case: Lonelywood interesting to run as they contain multiple resources from the list. But Explorer’s Case: Caverns and Explorer’s Case: Skyhold remain strong as well.

New Temporary Stronghold Vendor Resources

Last but not least, the Temporary Stronghold Masterwork Vendors got updated with MW III recipes. Just like in Module 11, you can now invest Guild Marks to surpass the recipe RNG and buy the desired resource directly. It’s listed here to outline all the options you guys have, but I doubt it’s the best way to make money. Since you need to have MW III unlocked in order to trade for the resources, it usually makes more sense to craft the Masterwork III products listed above instead. And in case you don’t, you’re much better off buying Explorer’s Cases for your Guild Marks anyway.

Whatever you choose to go for, I hope this helps to maximize your profits from Masterworks even if you don’t plan to unlock the IV and V recipes yourself. Do you have any additions or questions?
