Maze Engine Alliances Launches Without Alliances

It’s not like the Neverwinter community isn’t used to shaky patch days and quite a few lapses from the devs, but launching a big patch without the core feature working at all is a new experience even for this game.

After the update yesterday the official issues thread quickly filled with complaints that you couldn’t invite some guilds to alliances. There is a known bug with old Gauntlgrym allegiances, but so far the current issue seems unrelated. Some guilds just can’t accept any invites from alliances.

Strumslinger tried to weather the storm as much as he could and promised a fix for Thursday, but the community is understandably disappointed that they can’t start the alliances they’ve been working on for the last days and weeks. On top of that resource structures can’t be tended, which means guilds are currently even losing progress.

On a side note the nerf to the Quartermaster’s Enchantment looks pretty severe. Players in our forum are reporting only ten regular drops before they get throttled. Oh, and some player accidentally mailed bound items to a guildie. Just a normal day in Crypticland.

We’ll update this thread if there’s more to report regarding the launch.

    Let’s say that it’s not even a promise: it’s a hope.
We’re in “have faith” mode and turn a candle on.
