Welcome to the 24th installment of Monday’s Bag of Tricks! On some Mondays you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.
The Water Node in Drowned Shore is one of the new favorite places of bots. It has six profession nodes that can be farmed relatively easy and since it’s a closed instance, the nodes refresh every time you reenter it. The devs will probably at some point do what they’ve always done and simply remove some or all of the nodes. The bots will then move on, but as long as this is not the case, the Water Node is also a very good place to farm profession nodes for the legit player.
You can see the node locations in the picture and we also have a video walkthrough up, that additionally shows the second instance with a very fast accessible node, the Ashmadai Lair in Chapter 4 of the Dwarven King Quest Line. You can do about two full runs through the Water Node until the artificial cap on farmable profession nodes kicks in and you only get junk loot out of the nodes for a certain amount of time. To avoid more traveling than necessary it’s probably best to start and end your typical session with two runs inside the Water Node in case you plan to utilize this.
