Neverwinter Community Watch

The Community Watch is a recurring format on the weekends that summarizes interesting stories, forum posts, links and news in the Neverwinterverse that are worth reporting, but don’t warrant a full own post.

Here’s what happened during the last week:

  • Here’s your weekly treat of PVP drama.
  • And here’s a channel with quite a lot of PVP footage form Gutbusters Brigade. SW POV.
  • A channel aiming for overcoming the lack of Stronghold Siege queue pops is a great idea!
  • It’s so great we are going to promote it twice!
  • This is old news, but after two years of silence Escavienne has retired and has put the project for sale. With over 40k users this was the major fansite of the game until 2013 and featured the first item database as well. Thanks to all dedicated staff members and good luck going forward with other projects!
  • A new Alpha playtest started on the 22nd and lucky players got invited to a special forum section to test specific aspects of the next big update / module.
  • I think we can agree that a 1v1 mode would definitely be a cool thing. And that it won’t likely happen anytime soon.
  • kraken_mare had a pretty busy week posting his theorycrafting results about Critical Severity Damage Increase and Recharge Speed.
  • Guess who solo’d a dungeon.
  • Wonder how to beat the first phase of the Throne prisoner rescue? Read!
  • In case you missed the Q&A on Thursday: The replay and transcript is up. And our thoughts are here.
  • Always good to see players creating custom content. So here’s a guide / website for CWs and this one is dedicated to GFs.
  • If you think Europe has their hands full with refugees, you should see the Ashmadai Lair of the Dwarven King featured quest line. Poor Candelaria has to house all those bots and she sure would like England to take at least a few!
  • Not sure how long the thread will last, but in case anybody does not yet know all the shortcuts of the Temple of the Spider, here are videos explaining them: It’s as easy as 1 2 3.
  • Strumslinger is hosting NPC Idol. Go vote!
  • There was a DDoS attack on Sunday.
