Neverwinter Weekender: Go Complete Campaigns!

weekenderlogoThe Neverwinter Weekender is our brand-new weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures!

Surprise! The devs extended the Winter Festival for a full week! The reason is the late delivery of those compensation Parcels on the PS4 and Russian Drider server, but all platforms profit! I know we have said this before, but we can only highly suggest to complete the lion’s share of your gifting parties early. Even starting with 20 Gifts can lead to continued gifting for an hour. It’s no perpetual motion machine, but sometimes you get a considerable amount of Gifts back in Stars and Bags. In case you can, wrap up gifting on Wednesday, claim the last Gift on Thursday and call it a Festival!

Campaign currency everywhere!

The extension also makes the upcoming weekend amazing for farming campaigns. Not only are all currencies from Sharandar, Dread Ring, Icewind Dale, Tyranny of Dragons and Underdark doubled, you can also still fish up additional ones from the Winter Festival. If you can’t complete some stuff in the next days, the devs are definitely not the ones to blame!

The easiest campaign to complete is Underdark. You need to farm 7,000 Faerzress, which is repetitive, but actually reasonable. There’s also nearly enough currency to gain in Sharandar in case you already planned accordingly by accumulating quests. You need 36 Swords, but five days only hand out 30. Completing six quests on the first day gets you there. Sparks don’t add up though. Doing two weeklies and all dailies net 550, 90 short of campaign completion.

Doing the Demonic Hunter quest let’s you advance considerably in Dread Ring and Icewind Dale. In case you have started these on the first Double Event for them, you should be able to finish them now. For Tyranny the suggestion is to get into Tiamat as much as possible. Linus are a pain and with people running the Dragon Queen more frequently, it should be easier than usual to find groups.

Anticipate the Key Changes

Even if you already have completed campaigns, you might want to use this Double Weekend to pile up on currency. With the introduction of the Dungeon Key Changes, which are currently on preview, you’ll need more keys than before.

We hope you guys will enjoy the weekend with our overview! In case you have any questions or remarks, make sure to put them in the comments or visit the corresponding thread on our message board!
