Neverwinter Weekender: Vouchers, Giants’ Lockbox and Some Minor Events

weekenderlogoThe Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures!

The Siege of Neverwinter

It didn’t take long for the Cult of the Dragon to prepare their next attack on Neverwinter and so PC players can go hunt for Vouchers again! The event didn’t change so there’s really not a lot of stuff to add. What we wrote in June is still valid, just note that the Quartermaster’s Enchantment received a nerf since then. You can’t do wrong farming those Vouchers even though the next Double Guild Mark event is not on the calendar. For guilds the event means significant progression, so make sure to motivate your members!

Double Stuff

The fold of Double Events this weekend is pretty meh. PC gets Glory, which is widely considered useless because the normal PVP queue is dead. Experience on consoles might also sound subpar, but with the new Sea of Moving Ice update fresh players at least can shortcut their way to the new content. One minor thing you want to do on Experience Weekends is the Maze Engine Daily quest. It grants a whole bunch of XP towards those precious Overflow Rewards and additional Power Points.

The Giants’ Lockbox

The special guest on this Weekender is the Giants’ Lockbox that arrived on consoles. We consider it a tad weaker than the previous ones, but it still contains interesting stuff. The lockbox no longer builds around Mounts and Insignias, although the Mystic Mount Pack can still drop them. The rare prizes are the Eye of the Giant Artifact and a Manticore. The Companion offers nice utility and was available for under 100,000 AD after a few weeks on PC. The Artifact in the meantime presents an all-around boost (and significant growth!) with its stats and power.

The other drops are pretty common however. The Enchantment Pack has the best debuff Enchantment in Frost, but overall there are better packs around. Actually all the rare rewards are good but not great and with Stronghold and Ostorian you unfortunately have two packs that are too insignificant to belong in a lockbox.

We hope you guys will enjoy the weekend with our overview! In case you have any questions or remarks, make sure to put them in the comments or visit the corresponding thread on our message board!

you’re right about the “Ostorian Relic Pack”, got a few of those already… gheeez” what a waste of money! feel totally cheated getting one of those. if you go farm relics in Brynn Shander you’ll get the same rewards in 1 min.
