Neverwinter Weekender: Where Did All the Gifts Go?

weekenderlogoThe Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures!

We hope you did get all your gifting parties in during the Winter Festival, because the festivities are now over and the fun all gone! Consoles obviously wait for their Heart of Fire release next Tuesday, but otherwise it’s pretty much getting back to your usual daily activities. So hey, why not farm some Underdark currency on the Xbox and PS4, because you’re getting twice the rewards! Additionally there’s 20% off Campaign Buyouts & 15% off Wondrous Bazaar.

PC players get the same sale and Wondrous Bazaar discount, plus 20% off all services. The Double Glory event is surely nothing to get excited about, but the calendar is about to get really interesting with new formats like the CtA season or Tales of Old.

We hope you guys will enjoy the weekend with our overview! In case you have any questions or remarks make sure to share them on our social channels, in the comments below, or on our message board!

i was expecting this thread to mention something about a lower drop rate on bags this year. Kinda just figured the player base must have been very naughty with all the bans and therefore Santa Cryptic decided to nerf bags and gives us coal instead. But once they seen the value of coal they had to go back and also nerf that 😀

I completed one gift group – 50 gifts popped, received one parcel. Said fuck this waste of time event. Pretty obvious drop rate was hit with the nerf hammer. Back to BDO!

Ok! I’m rather new to MMOs so please forgive me for my limit knowledge. I’ve played NW for a year and my RNG is horrible. I did two gift groups. 1 for an hour and got a lot of transmutes. Nothing to write home about. Did another with each person having 50 gifts. I got 3 hammers. 2 on one toon just wish they were bound to account not character. I am very excited for the future. I know there are highs and lows but I have my fingers cross. I met the DEVs at PaxWest and if they are back in 2019 I’ll talk to them there again.

Wow. I just came over from EQ2 (haven’t quit. Just wanted to try something new). It is very different. I didn’t really get into the whole holiday aspect of it, which I am VERY involved in on EQ. Maybe next year as I am still getting used to it. Does NW do any other holidays or just Christmas?

We have major seasonal events for Christmas and Summer, and minor ones for Halloween, Chinese New Year, and Independence Day.
