History of Your Gaming, D&D, Neverwinter Career

I started playing video games when I was a kid around when Halo 2 was hot. After Halo I played a lot of the COD franchise. After that, been playing MMO’s and games like MKX and Overwatch. Back then, Neverwinter consumed a lot of my time since I was still in Highschool, but since I’ve been out I can still play, but not as much, nor do I personally play it as much as I used to. Currently though, I do play it often as there really isn’t any other games that interest me, or lack of games. That could change depending on what the future holds in store.

I started Neverwinter when I was still playing GTA V seriously. An old friend of mine mentioned to me that they had various classes and a guy with a sword and a shield. Immediately I downloaded it on April 5th 2015 (I’m pretty sure) and been playing it since then. I have taken breaks in between modules though. I only play on Xbox. Only time I’ve played on PC was when I went on the PTR for modules ago, but since then, nah. Xbox only.

Did you know that Uncensored runs the biggest Discord of Neverwinter? Come join our team, streamers and hundreds of players to talk the site and all facets of the game!

I must say and I’ve always said this. I think at the end of the day, something even myself and others need to realize it is just a FREE TO PLAY game. You can acquire pretty much everything in the game for FREE through grind and time. Neverwinter’s reputation obviously over the years hasn’t been amazing, but I think that people’s feedback and constant call outs help change the game we play. I make posts, create discussions with players on Xbox about various things all the time we talk. I am not saying you shouldn’t talk about something if it isn’t good or just. I am just saying it isn’t WoW or something like that where things are updated more often and stuff like that.

My favorite class has been GF from day 1. Regardless of what people think, I’ve played it since day 1 and never gave up on it. From Protector where I began, to Tac in PvE, to Conq in PvP, it is a very versatile class and I love it for the options you can have on it.

Your History, Goals and Thoughts About Creating Content for Neverwinter

I began streaming more as a thing for fun. Used the Xbox Twitch App since it’s easy, simple, and effective to use. Doesn’t cost you anything and it’s great to use if you don’t feel like spending money on a capture card. I started in 2016 and had like 20 something followers, now I don’t consider myself a big streamer but I gained over 130 followers since then so I must be doing something right I guess.

My main purpose of streaming Neverwinter is PvP. I am sad to admit it, but most people don’t enjoy PvP but a very small % of us do, and we love it. This game has a very unique combat system that we all love. Due to the lack of love to the game and PvP, it affects the amount of viewers people like me get. I would love to eventually have PvP be considered normal and not a “OMEGALUL” by the community. So we keep posting, keep talking, trying to talk to the devs for some small little bit of hope we can hold on to PvP. Hope is what it comes down to.

I’m just having fun. Neverwinter is not a great business model to stream full time on and personally I don’t pull in enough viewers to be considered “relevant” by the streaming community. If you have watched my clips of me in PvP or ever met me, or talked to me in person or on voice, I really enjoy making people laugh. Most people don’t understand my humor, but I still manage to make it work. I engage with everything people write to me and don’t beat around the bush on topics. If a person wants to talk, I will talk. My humor and my personal mechanical skill is what makes me unique I think.

If you did follow me, expect to see some funny stuff, your questions answered to the best of my ability and I will respond in very detail ways. Many streamers answer with one word and don’t really respond. I on the other hand love talking with everyone.

What’s the Funniest, Weirdest, Most Annoying, or Frustrating Thing That Happened to You While Covering the Game?

I got a bunch of funny and cool clips of things that WILL NEVER or RARELY be recreated. These are just some of them.

What Do You like / Dislike About Covering Neverwinter and Its Community?

I dislike the appreciation from Cryptic Studios and Perfect World mainly. All of us don’t have to stream this game. Ya know? We aren’t put on the first page of Cryptic’s website or put on Neverwinter forums for people to watch on. I never see a dev in my chat or anything like that. Never a hello or anything. You have to stay G rated most of the time to get a response even though people like me just want to help the game.

I think I REALLY need to work on my elgato set up and stream settings. Other than that nothing much other than stop making too many jokes!

Other than that, the game as a whole and PvP of Neverwinter needs to be changed so it is more appealing for people to play and try it out. Also getting Neverwinter out there. I think personally with covering games, they tend to be a lot bigger than Neverwinter, but you need to keep in mind each game is an individual. Just like a person. Each person is unique in a way and Neverwinter is no different. It is a unique MMO that you need to really play before streaming about especially if you are covering subjects.

Common feedback I receive is they would love to see PvP change. I think everyone does. We want new modes like a competitive queue, better rewards, and an incentive to play it.

I think Xbox’s community is unique compared to PC and PS4. I obviously come off as biased, but, I have been here for quite some time to evaluate the three platform’s behavior and community and Xbox’s community is just different. Some of the Xbox players who switched to PS4 say they didn’t like it for example. My best friends on here came from Xbox, Xbox has also found a lot of information in a lot of aspects of the game like bugs, knowing various things about classes, and disgusting speedrun times.

I personally theorycraft in the backlines. What you don’t see when I don’t stream is hours upon hours of testing, talking, and what not on Neverwinter. If the game fails, my stream fails because I don’t receive views.

I would rate Perfect World a 4 out of 10. They at least have a support but over the years they have done a lot of BS to the players that is unacceptable. They ignore it play it off blah blah blah but the players remember what happened. Also, I don’t appreciate the low ball pick and choose with people sometimes. I’ve heard stories of people getting their stuff back from support and others not getting it.

Cryptic I think I’d rate 6 out of 10. I remain sort of positive and only reason I don’t put them with Perfect World’s rating is because I think they are trying to fix the game. They don’t want it to fail, just like us, and at the end of the day, I think the people we don’t even see on the forums really run the show. Higher than the developers.

Both companies can improve on engaging with the streamers and people like me who spend disgusting hours studying on various aspects of the end game of Neverwinter. Feedback from people like me should be looked for by them, why it isn’t? Beats me.

What Do You like / Dislike About Neverwinter and Its Community as a Player?

Like I said, I think the game is SLOWLY healing. They want to improve the game and even Thomas Foss wants this. I don’t think anyone wants this game to fail. It has a lot of potential. I want to see them work VERY hard for things to be better in PvP.

Both PvP and PvE need improving on. SW has been considered a joke for so many years and yes it’s amazing they are getting fixed and buffed why did it have to take so many years?

I can write a dictionary but I want to see PvP changed and FIXED for GOOD. I want to see PvE maps that aren’t copy and pastes of previous ones. TONG for example was very unique keep doing that Cryptic!

I love Neverwinter PvP. I don’t care what anyone says, it has ESPORT potential if they really made it that much of a priority. A mod or something COMPLETELY DEDICATED to PvP. Spectator mode, competitive queue, rewards, like I said, an incentive to play it.

I stated above our Community Manager doesn’t talk with any of us at all. Beat around the bush and G rated culture is not how you work things out. We want to fix the game very badly the players are trying to help you out.

The Community Manager does not deserve the job just making the comment calling the viewer of a stream a peanut gallery. That alone tells me she think very little of the players that give her the job. And then not wanting to run a stream during a maintenance and saying there would just be complaints or no content to the stream WTF. I thought her job was to listen to the community and take the feedback process it and help the Devs and others in charge of the game understand what the players want to make the game more enjoyable. But all i see is a person that is getting carried along with her job. She shows up once perweek to post on a few bug threads like having to meet some quota. And then once again to post patch notes or updates.

I like this guy! In my opinion, he has it right. Fix PvP and this game will explode! The combat is fun, but if they dedicated a mod to improving it, the fun factor could go up exponentially and improve the overall game. Nice read and if I ever download twitch I will follow him
