Welcome to the latest installment of our Bag of Tricks! On some days you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.
The professions system, especially Masterworks, has always been about spreadsheets. With the sophisticated dependencies between different tasks and professions you simply have no shot quickly figuring out what resources you need to get where you want or figure out how to make profit. This not only didn’t change with the new Workshop system, it might have gotten worse. You still have the task tree, and now even 200+ unique Artisans to choose from which all come with different stat combinations. Knowing what Artisan is the best for a specific situation isn’t easy, first and foremost because you might not now all the choices there are.
Gladly YouTuber and Theorycrafter Rainer has put in major work to release the latest version of his “Masterwork Sheet”. He already did one for the old Professions and the current one is equally helpful. Rainer himself labeled it “Masterwork” again, but we’d like to go with “Workshop” in the title because it can help with much more than just Masterworks. He for example lists all different Artisans with their stats. So you can quickly look up your options for a given professions. He made a video explaining all functions of the sheet. Make sure to check that out! The sheet itself is hosted by us and can be downloaded here. Please note that you will need Microsoft Excel or a sheet program that is able to run VBA macros. It doesn’t fully work with Google Sheets or online Office for example.
