List of K-Team Weekly Dungeons and Alt Promo Event Preview
In case you’ve been following Unblogged lately (and really, you should!), you probably already know about the K-Team Challenge that’s coming with Neverwinter’s “Heart of Fire” update. Otherwise you can still go back to our campaign preview or visit the official blog to learn about this new way to experience dungeons in Module 15. The benefits are rather simple: Brand-new item level 600 gear!

Full List of K-Team Weekly Dungeons
To get your hands on the shiny gear you need to go through a hardcore version of existing dungeons that change weekly. Some of them have been visible on preview already, but we’re now able to dish out a complete list of all dungeons that will appear as K-Team challenge:
- Castle Never
- Castle Ravenloft
- Cragmire Crypts
- Fangbreaker Island
- Gray Wolf Den
- Kessell’s Retreat
- Lair of Lostmauth
- Malabog’s Castle
- Shores of Tuern
- Spellplague Caverns
- Temple of the Spider
- Tomb of the Nine Gods
- Valindra’s Tower
That’s actually all the epic “dungeon” content that’s currently in the game. I put dungeon in quotes because you have Shores of Tuern and Kessell in there. But veterans know that the devs have always treated those as dungeon content in several occasions although they’re technically skirmishes. Anyway, notable absentees are obviously the skirmishes since Mod 11, which Omin probably felt were too easy for his “challenge mode”.
What’s certainly interesting is the wide range of possible content. While I’m convinced few will try to master the K-Team challenge when Castle Ravenloft is up, the queues will probably be swarmed in weeks that VT, eSOT, or eLOL are up. This also means that everyone can realistically get the item level 600 gear. It’s a little bummer if you were hoping that the Gallant Gear would be gated behind truly challenging content. There’s no guarantee however that all listed dungeons will actually be available for the weekly. The only confirmed ones from preview so far are Castle Never and Gray Wolf’s Den.
Alt Promo Event
Also tied to the Acquisitions Incorporated campaign is a new “Alt Promo Event” that is already on the preview calendar. New characters created during the event will receive bonus rewards while leveling and completing Acquisitions Incorporated campaign tasks. For the “Neverember Incentives” you’ll get, of which accounts can receive a maximum of 200, you can buy a variety of excellent rewards. I’m not sure it’ll be worth farming, but new players will have a much faster way to some nice extra goodies than they normally would. Since the event starts on launch, there’s no way to tell how many Incentives you’ll get per quest. This obviously could be a show-stopper. But otherwise, you might want to get on the character creation screen and extend your group of adventurers.
In the end the term “Alt Promo” might not be what this will turn out to be. I see it more as a nice little bonus to new players that come in during the early days of Module 15. But it’s nonetheless a nice idea to tie some rewards to making (alternate) characters. Since the devs have been actively working on to limit the viability of alts as pure farms, they indeed need to come up with other incentives to play more than one toon.

I’m going to guess that all my already-created ALTs can’t benefit from the event. … @^%$% fantastic 🙁
Probably not, but this is actually a good step towards something STO has done a couple of times: Introduce a promotion for creating a new character where as that character completes tasks, ACCOUNT-WIDE unlocks happen.
Like, imagine if one of the new toon tasks was “get a profession to level 20” and doing that unlocked a Profession Asset Pack for every character on your account, or “complete 20 queues” gave every character a bunch of bonus RAD, or “complete X campaign” gave every character, past AND future, a bag of that campaign currency. That’s the sort of thing STO did with their new toon promotions.
Malabog’s castle sucked with lag killing at least one person every attempt. Fix the dam lag on the last screen.
