Neverwinter Community Watch

The Community Watch is a recurring format on the weekends that summarizes interesting stories, forum posts, links and news in the Neverwinterverse that are worth reporting, but don’t warrant a full own post. Here’s what happened during the last week:

• The Neverwinter subreddit introduced a new rule regarding speedruns that requires users to post a full video of the run. One of the first runs under the new rule got taken down because of some weird exploit claim.
• Here’s your discouraging RNG story of the week! And here’s your encouraging one!
• Before matters are taken out of their hands, the Trickster Rogue community tries to be proactive about the inevitable balancing pass of their class.
• In case you didn’t know: You can still make tons of AD with Masterwork resources.
• Should Life Steal get toned down?
• What’s the best use of Lanolin? Sell or upgrade to Relic gear?
• User Sarafyne joined usual suspect Hawchang in editing the official wiki. Thanks guys!
• How do you farm gold?

PC

• The latest update “Shroud of Souls” now has a release date and the first dev blog about loadouts is up! Related: Dev Vlog with Gray Thomas & Purple Jules! Also related: PURPLE HAIR DON’T CARE!
• Seems like the pug queue of Illusionist’s Gambit gets more and more populated with Bronze runners. Not everyone likes that.
• Irfaan Khan added a full series of how to beat the River District demiplanes to his channel: Gyrion, Kabal and Nostura.
• PC users can currently grab a Dwarven Face Mask + Neverwinter Starter Pack from Razer.
• One of the Youtubers of the early days just came back to Neverwinter. Hope to see more videos from him soon!
• On our forum, Lancer brings up the idea of splitting all powers and feats between paragon paths into so called “prebuilds” to make balancing easier.
• Fernu Stormborn uploaded a mSP run on his Scourge. More runs: Mystik FBI and MSVA!

Consoles

• You can now grab 9 free avatars for Neverwinter in the PS4 store!
• Console Youtubers are already all over Mod 11b “Shroud of Souls”. Elzy talks about general info while Nova previews the new Stronghold Maurauders guild event.
• Garlaanx in the meantime has uploaded a highlight FBI run from his Twitch streams to Youtube.
