Welcome to a new project, experiment, challenge or whatever you wanna call it. Normally experiencing the content with well-geared toons, I figured it would be quite interesting to approach the game from the perspective of a casual player. How does it feel starting at item level 1,600 and build up a character without the help of your mains? How long does it take until you are geared enough for T1/T2 and where do you get all the RPs from? Welcome to the Lowbie Diaries, it should be fun!
Been a while. For some reason I parked the character in Icewind Dale and so I decided to level there for a bit, but soon realized the area is still off limits, at least solo. Did some HEs with the zerg and went on. Overflow reward was a Black Opal, which I sold and bought two more R7s. Shirt and Pants don’t have slots, but otherwise I’m decked out with Enchantments for now and can focus on other stuff.
Between the Dread Ring Lair and Spinward Rise, I did three Dominations, lost two and won 1. That’s 24 NCL Tokens and I need 100 for a major gear upgrade. Nice!
Nothing out of the ordinary, but forgot to resolve daily quests, which is annoying for this char. PVP didn’t pop.
Greater Mark of Union from Dread Ring Lair, that currently goes for 60k. That’s massive. Also another PVP win with 1-2-xx stats. Funny anecdote from the match was that the opponents specifically went after me when they identified me as lowbie and got killed by my teammates in the process. That means I contributed right?
First day at the anniversary. As always, events like this are great for lowbies to get free stuff.
You can get two Thrones of Boo by just doing the dailies, which currently transfers to 500k AD, more than this character has ever seen in its life. Plus I’m back to grinding Spinward Rise every day because I need my main-hand before the RP x2. Normally I don’t do weekends with this character, but with all the great events running, I have no choice 😉
*** UPDATE *** Just learned the Thrones you get from the store are BoP… Dang! I had planned to sell them.
