Yesterday selected members of the community got a chance on taking
out their balancing frustrations on the devs in a fun and cozy PVP event! Labelled as PVP with the devs it was actually more of a PVP against the devs as ten Cryptic employees in four matches challenged ten players on the Gauntlgrym PVP map.
We’re not sure why nobody did call the police (aka Sgt. Knox) by the way, because man, the devs got murdered! They might have brought “bis” gear, but not “bis” PVP skill and experience. So they lost all four matches by a wide margin! But kidding aside: As they themselves noted this was about to be expected and everyone was in a relaxed moot. The preview was crowded and there was some general chatter going on.
Which means the event pretty much turned out to be what we though it would. Some folks might have been trying to hype this as a serious balancing showcase or whatever. But those that participated simply had a good time and that’s what this was all about.
Leaderboards and Videos
For those of you that weren’t there here, are some leaderboards of the matches from the official stream hosted on the Cryptic Studios Twitch channel. Down below we’ve also attached some Youtube footage from participants and will update this article when we find more. Have fun with it!
